Keep your Husk on....AKA Grilled Corn

Last night was a simple dinner...Grilled corn on the cob, steaks the Man cooked, and some Bush's Grillin beans....the bourbon kind....(sorry, we recycle and I cleaned and de-labeled the can...so I'm not digging through the trash to find it...icky, no thank you)

I'm gonna show you how we grill corn.....and yes, I know you could do this with aluminum foil...but where's the fun in that?....

Peel back your corn husks, but don't remove them...yeah, they'll probably split and be a pain...but it's worth it...after you have the husks peeled back...remove the cornsilk (or as my kids call it...the hair...LOL)

next you want to butter your corn....or use margarine...that's what I did cause it was in a tub and no sitting to room temp is required....

now take all that husk and pull it back up....take off one piece and use it to tie the husks in place

like so....you could probably use something else to tie it with if that doesn't work for you...like dental floss...and then you'd have something to pick the corn out of your teeth with afterwards....hmm...maybe not such a good visual....oopsie...my bad

put your corn on the grill....I think mine was set to medium....

cook rotating every 5 minutes or so, until corn is done....about 35 to 40 minutes....

remove from heat...peel the husks off....and enjoy (you can add more butter and some salt if you want...but due to the Man's diet restrictions we didn't)

and there you have it....I usually leave mine on there for a few more minutes than I did last night and the corn tends to start getting a little brown in places where the husk comes loose...oh well...it was still good...

now I have to go find something constructive to do before I get hungry....darn this diet thing!!
